The sponsor does not need access to the Phaistos platform. They simply fill out the form via the link they receive, and the system handles everything else automatically.

What the Form Covers

The declaration form collects all information required by Article 7 of Regulation (EU) 2024/900. Below is a summary of the key sections:

- Service Classification

Confirms whether the requested service constitutes political advertising under the regulation.

- Sponsor Eligibility

Verifies that the sponsor meets the eligibility criteria - EU citizen, permanent resident with voting rights, or an EU-established legal entity.

- Sponsor Details

Name, legal name, VAT number, registration number, email, and address of the entity commissioning the ad.

- Controlling Entity

Details of any entity exercising decisive influence over the sponsor's decision-making bodies.

- Paying Entity

If different from the sponsor, full identification of the entity financing the political advertisement.

- Campaign Period & Budget

Publication start and end dates, total amount, currency, and funding sources (public, private EU, or non-EU).

- Targeting Techniques

Declares whether the campaign uses targeting or ad delivery methods based on personal data processing.

- Political Connection

Links the campaign to a specific election or referendum, including the election title, level (European, national, regional, local), and relevant member state or territory.

The sponsor bears sole responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of the information provided and is obligated to immediately update or correct any inaccuracies, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2024/900.
