Every political advertisement served through our platform includes a built-in transparency layer. This page explains what information is disclosed to the public, how users can interact with it, and how campaign data is stored for regulatory compliance.

Transparency Page

While hovering over the Political Advertisement button on any ad creative, a tooltip displays key campaign details. If the user clicks the "More information" link within the transparency announcement, they are directed to a dedicated information page hosted by Phaistos.

This page provides full transparency into the entities and details behind the campaign.

Creative Preview

The transparency page also includes a campaign creative preview, allowing users to view the actual advertisement associated with the campaign. This provides full visibility into the content being distributed.

Report an Advertisement

If a user suspects that a political advertisement does not comply with Regulation (EU) 2024/900, they can submit a complaint directly through the transparency page using the "Report this ad" button.

The report form collects the campaign reference ID, the reporter's name and email, and a detailed message explaining the concern. Phaistos ensures that all complaint information is properly recorded and stored in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Data Retention

All campaign information - including transparency records, creative assets, and any submitted complaints - is retained for a minimum of seven years, in full compliance with EU data retention requirements.

Once the EU advertising repository becomes operational, relevant campaign data will also be submitted to the central repository to ensure pan-European transparency and regulatory alignment.
